What you can do as an Individual

People who give not only feel great, but recent research also suggests that giving significantly improves physical health, death is delayed and depression is reduced*.

Many question the fast pace our society appears to move at, with much social debate regarding where our society is heading when caring for each other.  Philanthropy provides individuals in the community with a tool for active engagement and acts as a measureable step in the journey towards the goal of meaningful change.

By talking to your employer about the following options or making a donation individuals can help little lives shine in the following ways:

Workplace Giving:
Workplace giving is a program that allows an employee to regularly donate to Children’s Hospital Foundations Australia through their employer’s automated payroll system.

Workplace giving donations can be made pre-tax through each pay reducing how much tax you need to pay – giving you an immediate tax deduction.

Individual employees determine how much they would like to contribute each pay period - you can use our on line calculator here.   The amount donated through workplace giving can be altered or stopped by the contributor at any time.  Employers can also choose to match their employees contributions or to contribute a specific amount.

Investing In Hope – Dividend Donation Program
Each year, millions of dollars worth of unwanted dividend cheques remain uncashed – imagine what our children’s hospitals could do with that money!

The Children’s Hospital Foundations Australia Investing in Hope initiative provides shareholders with the opportunity to tax-effectively donate all or part of their dividend payments.  Investing in Hope has positive results for you as the shareholder, the company and our children.
